Businesses like this deserve to succeed and it looks like the Alma does from hard work and attention to details. A last minute fish dinner (amazing sauce) and overnight stay - the coolest cabin room. And consistently friendly service. Thank you very much

I’ve had a stay over before. Rooms are great. Food is good! When I was over last week we had a great fish and chips. Good portion size, friendly service and good selection of drinks (beer) tip… always have a look at the board on the wall

We have shared the hot seafood platter and all I can say is truly amazing, I have never had such a wonderful variety of freshly cooked shellfish & Fish, The Crab Thermidor was exceptional- wonderful service from the lovely Maria & Frazier!!! The Alma is definitely a Gem worth seeking out in Harwich. Martin & Kerry from the Old Generator Station in Aldeburgh are one of your biggest fans. We will most definitely be back ⭐⭐⭐

Simply a great pub with all the key ingredients: welcoming staff, delicious food (best haddock and chips I can remember), an excellent range of ales and a cosy historical interior. Look forward to coming back here. Recommended!

We stopped off here to get dinner before a night ferry to The Netherlands. The welcome was excellent. All the staff were so friendly, (especially to our two children (8 & 11). Food was really lovely and very Kelly priced, with a good selection of drinks on offer. My wife had the vegan "fish and chips" which were excellent. Worth the extra couple of minutes drive from the chain restaurants at the entrance to the harbour. Would definitely repeat the experience if in the area.

Our 1st time in Harwich (which is lovely) we asked a local for somewhere good to eat. He suggested The Alma Inn. So glad he did. It was a fantastic historical pub with great staff, atmosphere, locals and food. We couldn't believe our luck. We both had fish & chips (mine was vegan) Cooked beautifully and the tartar sauce was something else. We enjoyed it so much we're already planning to return.

A great pub with traditional vibes, a GREAT selection of beers and drinks, and the food is very high quality. It's close to the pier and seafront for a nice walk to help digest all that good food and drink. They also do love music sometimes, but book a table!
